If Weasle were running a gazillion miles a year and all that, I could see it as part of a preventative maintenance program. But, to just swap 'em out for shits and giggles seems like a waste of money...
Thats becasue you haven't sat all winter and stared out at the snow ridden landscape. Shits and giggles are what passes the time in these parts...
....so I guess the inevitable question is; How big is your collection of 'shits and giggles' getting?   I'm gonna have to remember to do that when we get snowed in next year. Its not how big the collection...its how bizarre it becomes....

So, why fix it if it ain't broke? For $3 a plug, I wouldn't even bother trying to clean an old one.  I had always heard they break down inside and doubted it.  Then I had that HD plug slowly die on me, the first symptoms were cold blooded then it finally just went open and stopped firing.beat me to it..here they are under 2 bucks a plug...my time is worth more than that..

Save your money...JMO
My HD plugs that I took out only had about 10k miles, and they looked fine when I took em out... But  I was having the same problem as Empty when I'd start the motor- was very cold natured.  Had hesitations & ake about 5 min to warm up.    Now with the Autolites it starts and warms up quicker......

 Autolite plugs:

4164 - standard HD replacement for TC's
4163 - one range cooler
4162 - two ranges cooler

The new Autolites seem to have made my cold engine hesitations go away, something I had been blaming on the Mikuni.Same here.....  runs great with em!
