We're all basically fed up with the way the government has been run. But, its a whole lot easier to remember one name (George Bush) than it is to remember the names of all the people (past and present) in the Senate and the Congress that have made this mess we're in today... At 23% approval rating, there's more than liberals that think he's screwing us! That's what, depending on the poll, anywhere from 9 - 14 percent higher than the approval rating of congress?
I'll make it even more simple to understand what I'm trying to say...
You remember the name of the boat that sank in the North Atlantic, the "Titanic", right?
Name the passengers....

Empty, me too. At least this year. I have already started hiding money in jars in the backyard so when the libs do away with the tax cuts, raise my taxes, make me pay for illegal aliens healthcare, and basically take everything I make to pay for those who don't / won't work, I got enough money to buy food...

RSDF Of course, the Democrats still cannot override a veto without Republican help. During the "great spending" Republicans did as they pleased with your money, no vetos on spending of any kind.

The control the purse strings and pass laws.

"You sir, are a mental disadvantaged, speech impedimented, illegimate child"
instead of being able to say

Nicely done Dave...but please remember, anything that has gone wrong is all Bush's fault. He lied, people died, he got us in Iraq for oil and for Enron, and for Halliburton, he is an idiot (but smart enough to steal the election from the brilliant and talented Gore) he is an idiot (but smart enough to rig the second time he ran to beat the famous war hero John Kerry)
he is an idiot but he got the most rich of the US a tax break (which is why my taxes went DOWN, cause I now have to take up the slack of THEM getting their 300.00)
he is an idiot who served in the Air Guard fulfilling MORE than his enlistment, but everyone knows the idiot got everything written off by his Daddy, cause that wonderful and wise Dan Rather told us when he manufactured that story from TX.
I know it is hard to believe this, but remember, everything that is wrong in Congress is all Bush's fault, simply because he is breathing...try not to forget that.

Nicely written Dave.
As for the Judicial branch, when they finally took the steps to define 'the right to bear arms' in the second ammendment, they went to the top of the class in my opinion.
Here's the T-shirt I wore the next day;

I saw that in the paper this morning...I guess it is OK for a Black person to call Black people Niggers...I don't hear Sharpton bitching...If a prominent White person said that Jackson & Sharpton would be up their ass in minutes...
Fuck them...
LOL...
I wondered if anyone would read through all that I posted and see that little tid-bit of info there...
This is a gonna fall by the wayside Marc. Blacks callin' other blacks "Niggers" ain't a big deal. If a white guy/gal did it, that would be another story. A huge one too!
Local press here ain't givin' it space. I found that in the yahoo news this morning...

Ahh...
Americans, we're such a bunch of suckers. We prove it on a regular basis...
The old "slight of hand" or the classic "bait and switch". The art of creating a distraction so that they can't tell what's really going on or what isn't happening, that should be happening...
We gotta go back to the basics for this one. But, lets take the names and political party affiliation out of it. Using those always seems to stir up a lot of emotion and create problems with an intelligent discussion...
We've got 3 branches of government in the United States, right? (Executive, Legislative & Judicial)
So, about 8 years ago, we (the "People") elected a new person for the Executive branch. Right?
Well, yeah, sorta. Depends on who's tellin' the story...
Some of the people didn't like the way the vote went or the way the ballots were made, counted, etc. We even talked about changing the way we vote and how the votes are counted. And the act of using a "Electoral College" has been questioned as well. Even though it has worked since the beginnings of this country.
So, the Judicial branch of the government was called in to sort out the mess. Some liked, some disliked the outcome. Right?
As a result, the Executive branch started out with less than favorable acceptance to begin with, right?
Well, then over the next few years there was a lot of shit that happened and "We the people" either liked or disliked the response. But, the person sitting in the seat of the Executive branch didn't change.
So, when "We the People" had a chance to change the majority of the Legislative branch a couple of years ago, "We the people spoke" and we got a change of leadership & the majority party in the Legislative branch.
The Legislative branch has sole responsibility for creating laws and making decisions (e.g. Immigration, taxes, etc.) The Executive branch has to approve and sign off on this legislation. But, if it doesn't, the Legislative branch can over-ride an Executive branch veto with a 2/3rds majority acceptance vote.
This change of leadership has resulted in less than acceptable action on anything that of value to the "People". All the Legislative branch has done is play politics as usual. Partisan politics all the way. "Us" against "Them".
The Executive branch has been very vocal about their lack of action on anything that being put on his desk for an approval signature. And when he wouldn't approve what ever it was that they actually did, they couldn't get their collective tails together enough for a 2/3rds majority of them to favor this piece of legislation.
So, rather than actually do something that they were elected to do, the Legislative branch is raising hell and pointing the finger back at the Executive branch. And like a bunch of idiots, we Americans love to blame a single person for a failure. Based on the Executive branch not being the sharpest tool in the shed, he get to be the fall guy. At least in this story...
The 7+ year-old Executive branch ain't been the best. But, is the "new", 2-year-old, Legislative branch any better?
How has your life been made better in the past 2 years?
Any wonder why both the "Executive" and "Legislative" branches of our government have approval ratings that suck?
Come to think of it, if you look at the numbers, they ain't all that great for the Judicial branch either...
And in case you've read this far, did you know that Jesse Jackson also called the Black people "Niggers" recently? Check it out...
