Perfect day here finally. Looks like summer, but likely to get another blasts of arctic air.  Been enjoying riding though.  Got myself a new black denim vest that is real warm on ebay for $50....lots of pockets and fits good. My old leather vest was too small. I dont buy clothes often, but a good riding vest is a necessity. They call these conceal and carry vests.  Added a couple earned pins and a patch. All set for summer now.

We used heater tape many years ago...Good product...Put in a 10 Kw Generac years ago and plumbed it into the gas line that runs into the house...I never thought about a new battery...Runs every Saturday morning for 10 minutes...Has not let us down yet...

Hey Preacher, frozen water pipes are hard to deal with. I have heat tapes. I also have an emergency backup generator, because our power always goes out. Today the exerciser on the genset didnt cycle, so I have to go and work on that outside tomorrow. I put a new starter and solenoid in last fall. Now I wish I would have replaced the battery too.

Anyway, I never liked the cold. I dislike it more every year. It snows almost every day, so time is spent moving snow.  I got to get out of this climate.

Carl: if it makes you feel any better, (and it probably ain't much of a help,) but it was below freezing here for 3 days, was 7 Monday night, our water froze up tight, never got above freezing, but a properly placed "I hope this is the right pipe" heater got it loose around noon.
so, even tho I live in the warm south, (NOT) winter still sucks
lol

Did that here two days ago. We only got a little though. We are in the deep freeze until Monday.
