I think that's funny! We have a State Trooper that quit the force to mow lawns! He told me he could make more money and have more time with his kids. The cost of living is a lot lower here I guess.

By the way, we have Mexicans but they work over in the chicken processing plant. That job really stinks, but it pays better than mowing.
Had a conversation with my son on Saturday something like that. He's a Quality Manager at a big beef packing house in Kansas City. Been doing it for a couple of years. I've been a Quality Specialist for several years and haven't worked "the Line" for about 20. (aircraft) There's a lot to be said about the days when I'd come home exhausted because I was physically beat. I'd busted my ass and had something to show for it. I don't get those days too often now sitting behind a desk and a computer.

There's a lot to be said for a sense of accomplishment. I'd love to be able to make a living (like I do now) mowing lawns. Kudos to the guys that gave up bein' a cop to mow lawns.

Sure is a beautiful day here... about 66 for the high and sunshine.....

Spent most of the morning fighting what I thought was either a sick 'puter or a bad internet connection.   Come to find out when my son finally drug his ass out of bed - he had downloaded some big ass game onto the other pc in the back rm...   Exited that and all is working fine again........
