Still payin' close to $3.65 a gallon here...

As for changed driving habits? Not doing awhole lot more than to and from work at this point. And, I'm doin' that on my bike. Not doing much "extra" driving. Not sure how I'd cut out much. I still gotta work..

OL is a courier. She's gotta go where she's gotta go. No choice in that...

Now, as for the boycott? I read (and posted here, I'm pretty sure) a news article about how it's against the law to drop gas prices below a certain level. Not sure how much of an affect a boycott would have...

Paid $3.20 for Premium on Sunday...Yesterday on the news they said to expect $4.00 by Memorial Day...WTF...The thing that kills me is people (me included) bitch about the price of gas but most people have not changed their driving habits...We are actually driving more...So I guess people are content with the price of gas...

Interestingly enough a friend of a friend works for Halliburton who said people can control the price of gas...They just do not have their shit together...All you have to do is not by gas from any 2 of the top 10 say Exxon and Sunoco and they will drop their prices and others will follow...Its that simple...We just can't seem to put it together...The idea of not buying gas for 1 or 2 days is BS because we all need gas and it just won't work...So pick 2 oil companies and just don't buy from them...A very simple concept...There just has to be a way to implement it...

And to beat all, they still have us on stage 3 drought restrictions.

The book from the factory tells me to run 91 octane.   Once the temperature hits 85 or higher mine will ping and knock on regular ....already tried it.

i dont understand why everyone thinks they have to run premium in their bikes , their made to run on 87 octain, i can run all 3 blends in mine and have never had a problem  with it running 87, 89 , or 91 octain. i can understand if you done some modifications to the engine , but a stocker , should run fine on any grade . ???? 3.15 for 87  octain  today.

I spent $11.90 to fill mine today. Just over 3.25 gallons.

I hit reserve before I even left the street I live on. But, I only got a 4.2 gallon tank...

Most people realize that the cost difference really doesn't make a lot of sense. For a few pennies more, per gallon, they can get the high-grade. (or a few pennies less, the low-grade) In most cases, it's not really that much difference. Unless you're filling something with a 40+ gallon tank...

So, the mid-grade tends to sit in the tanks longer...

Just a theory...
The local station just down from us discontinued its middle grade gas.   They offer 87 and 91 octane only now.

Speaking of gas prices, check this out...

State Tells Gas Station To Raise Prices
State Could Penalize Man For Each Discounted Gallon Sold

MERRILL, Wis. -- A service station that offered discounted gas to senior citizens and people supporting youth sports has been ordered by the state to raise its prices.

Center City BP owner Raj Bhandari has been offering senior citizens a 2 cent per gallon price break and discount cards that let sports boosters pay 3 cents less per gallon.

But the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said those deals violate Wisconsin's Unfair Sales Act, which requires stations to sell gas for about 9.2 percent more than the wholesale price. WTF? So, is that why the "Gas Wars" have disappeared? How many other states have similar laws?

Bhandari said he received a letter from the state auditor last month saying the state would sue him if he did not raise his prices. The state could penalize him for each discounted gallon he sold, with the fine determined by a judge.

Bhandari, who bought the station a year ago, said he worries customers will think he stopped the discounts because he wants to make more money. About 10 percent of his customers had used the discount cards.

Dale Van Camp said he bought a $50 card to support the local youth hockey program. It would have saved him about $100 per year on gas, he said.

Good luck Marc...

I've had terrible luck running the mid-grade stuff. Seems to run worse on it, than it runs on low-grade...
