$3.59 for regular (87 octane) here yesterday. "Supposedly" the state is going to launch an "investigation" into the high prices.

We're paying over 45-cents a gallon in taxes on gas. So I seriously doubt that much will come from the so-called investigation. Hell, the state would lose too much money...

Oh and I can't forget that California also had a new "Cap and Trade" tax added to fuel this year. Not sure how much that has added to the cost of a gallon of gas. They were talking from 16-cents to 76-cents a gallon.

Damn those greedy oil companies making 2.5% profit per gallon...

what happened to the drill baby drill theory .its bs the rise in prices with pelentiful supplies and lower demand should bring about lower costs. guess it dont apply to oil co,s

We're climbing here. Prices are jumping from 5 to 10 cents a day lately. $3.45 yesterday, for regular...

But, I saw Diesel for $3.09. Strange, since Diesel has normally been higher than 92 octane...

Wow! Your nearly .90 cents a gal more there right now. Is it because a few of the refineries were down in the past month in CA Dave ?
