Well been fightin the other drivers Insurance Co for about 2 weeks over the guy stopping in the middle of a major hwy to avoid hitting a dog therefore wrecking us. Long story short, they wouldn't pay a nickel. After contacting a local attorney I know... He looked into it and in the good ole state of Indiana we have what's known as the Emergency Stop Doctrine. So any driver is allowed to stop on any hwy or road for dogs or pedestrians regardless of who is in back of them running 55 mph. Its a bullshit law in my opinion.... Now if we could of found the owners of the dog we could have sued them the attorney said. So we ask a few neighbors around there and they said we have no such dog.. Go figure... LOL!
