Things are going pretty good Marc, how bout you. Been busy, but gonna try and get on here an little more. I thought when you got older and your kids were on their own a person would have more free time, but it seems like just the opposite here. Have'nt been watching a lot of the playoffs with  Philly out AGAIN... But caught a few games, that Karlsson kid in Ottawa is an awesome player. series could still go either way I think.

GOC wrote: thanks......it sure has torque! The long shot pipes sound great. I never had a windshield before, and really think that makes riding much better. It took me a bit to get used to the 5 speed and toe/heal shift. Overall, I shod have done this many, many years ago. The Sporty was perfect when I was young, lived and rode in the city. Today, I don't ride in the city, and trips are on the highway or interstates. Bigger is just better. I will still ride my Sporty, I like the acceleration and time travel to my past. The Softail will be my primary bike. The wife likes it too. She was ok on Sporty when we were 20....she hasn't been on that back for 20 or more years. The vibration for some reason bugged herNothing better than a big twin Harley period.  Glad your joying it bro.   Love that ol vintage Sporty to though as you said.  Looks to be n perfect shape,   very cool!

I no longer fly airplanes, I prefer flying down the highway on a bike. Airplanes are cool, but bikes are better all around. Glad your loving it bro'    I would luv to fly,  but much easier to just ride down the road, lol!

I don't use that heal shifter, so probably will get that fix. I went riding today and didn't use the heal shift. Does anybody? The dealer even suggested taking it off. I wonder if using it becomes natural after a bit? Maybe if you have huge feet? Seems like dancing to me...heal toe heal toe

I thought it was not cool to have a windshield...How wrong I was...I hated the toe/heal shifter...There is a spacer you can get that replaces the heal part of the shifter...I got a Kuryakyn Heal Shift Lever Eliminator part # K1031 and it is great...$19.95 back in 2004...Don't know if they still make it...
